Melted Army Men Bowl

Another project that I found on Pintrest.
I first wanted to make this for my boyfriend who is in the marines. But I just had to make one for myself too cause it was so neat to me.

What you'll need:
-Army men (I used green and brown for a camo look)
-Glass or metal bowl
-Most people will place them in the bowl and put it in the oven but that then melts them too much and you cant tell that they are army men anymore. So I used a heat gun.

* A line the men in the bowl and then begin heating them up
* Takes a bit of times and smells. So best to do this outside.

Melted Crayon Art

Seen this on Pintrest and have been dying to do it.
I also plan on doing some more! :)
This is soo much fun and super cool!

  1. First I got some canvas.
  2. Found a cute silhouette couple online and glued at the bottom center of the canvas.
  3. Then I took some colors I wanted to use out of a crayon box. Took the wrappers off and break them in half.
  4. Then glued them to the top of the canvas.
  5. I took some cardboard and tape and covered up the silhouette.
  6. Then took a heat gun and melted the crayons down the canvas till it got the look I wanted.
  7. My flaw was that the melted crayons came through the tape onto the picture. So I printed off another pictured and attached it with 3D stickers. So now the crayons look like they are going behind the couple.

    Plain white canvas
    Sihouette Couple
    Crayons on top
    Melted crayons
    Finished product :)
  1. My flaw was that the crayons broke through my cover up and got on the picture. But what I did was use some 3D stickers and printed off another picture. This makes it look like the melted crayon is going behind the couple.

Bottle Cap Jewelry

Ever since being little I have loved seeing crafts or jewelry made from bottle caps. I even once made a ton of bottle cap magnets with different pictures on them. But what I have here are some necklaces and ear rings made from bottle caps.

*The smaller ones I  bought some small bottle caps at a craft store, printed off some pictures online, glued them in the inside of the caps and placed some clear bubble stickers on top. They already had the holes in them. I have used them for interchangeable necklaces or a keychain on the ball chain you see in the picture.

* The small ear rings I bought from hobby lobby. The caps are a light pink and inside them are pink and grey zebra stripes. These were already pre-made all I did was put them on ear ring hooks.

* The cherry soda caps were also from hobby lobby. They were just plain ol' cherry soda caps. I had a hole screwed into the top of both caps. Put rings through them and then attached them to ear ring hooks. The red beads I slide on the hooks and put a little bit of glue on them so they don't go anywhere.

-I really like the soda bottle cap ear rings. I tend to make some more in other flavors/colors. And even some necklaces. So stay tuned and if interested maybe I could make some for you :)

Coral Reef

These are some more simple crackle nails. I used a coral pink color as the base and a new light blue glitter crackle.

*Like I always say you never go wrong with a simple crackle look. And even better its glitter :)

"I wanna see your Peacock!!" (Toes and Fingers)

I love basically anything and everything that has to do with peacock feathers. I have tried and tried to paint peacock feathers on my nails but can not. But will continue to try. I can draw them perfectly on paper though.lol. But this is my own version of peacock nails both on my toes and fingers.

Things needed for both:

* Lets talk about the toes first cause they were the easiest....

-First off I painted all the toes with this deep purple color. I found this color at K-mart and love it. It looks really cool in the sun light too.

-I then placed light blue and light green dots and lines on just the big toes. Then outlined them with gold.

-As for the other toes I used the new glitter crackle. (Green and Blue) as in the pictures the glitter crackle did not show up very well with the purple but you can still see glitter.

*Finger Nail time!!! :)

-First I painted all the nails light green but the ring fingers on both hands. I painted the tips of those with the same purple from the toes.

-Next I placed some purple and blue dots and lines just like on the toes on all the fingers but the ring fingers. Then outlined some of them in gold.

-On the ring fingers I lined the bottom of the tip with light blue and had 2lines go up towards the tip of the nail. Then painted small gold lines in the middle of the blue lines.

-Add top coat to everything for the finish and there's your peacock double nail set!

*The dots and lines that were placed and then outlined give the allusion of peacock feathers and the green, blue, purple, and gold our proper colors for the peacock.

Ombre Nails

I've seen these Ombre nails all over the Internet and have been dying to try them. So here it is....This design is messy so you will have to do some cleaning up afterwards. And you can use however many colors you want to and whichever colors you want to. I just decided to use 3 and they were blue, pink, purple.

Materials:

-(Base color) First off I painted all the nails solid white. You can paint them with any color you want. When using neons or other brights for them to stand at its best to use white or nudes.

- Next you will paint on lines of the colors onto a makeup sponge. I did about 2-3strokes of the colors on the sponge so its wet with the color.

- Now comes the messy part... Line up the sponge on your finger and then roll it across the nail. Apply just a tad bit of pressure so that the polish seeks through the sponge onto the nails.

- Also when doing this after the first roll over the nail the colors still may be light. So for darker more vibrate colors apply more polish to the sponge and then roll over nail again.
All depends on your preference.

- As you can tell this is quite messy. Before cleaning up I applied some top coat to all the nails. Let it dry for a bit. Then I dipped a cue-tip into polish remover and wipped around the edges of the nails to clean them up.

And then you're done once everything dries :)
I've seen this look done different ways and with this you cant really mess it up. No matter the colors or how many it looks pretty cool. I like the bright colors for a fun summer look. Also it may not seem like it but this is a pretty easy design.

Party Toes!

These were really simple. But the colors I used makes it fun. You can use any colors you want. But I used a white background and pink, black, and blue dots. You can even do a different color background with other colored dots. This is just what I used.

*Painted all the toe nails white.
*Then once that dried I placed dots all over each toe. (using the doting tool).
*And like always finish with top coat :)

 Pink, Black, and Blue :)

Minnie Mouse

This design was pretty simple. I had just wanted to do red and white polka dots, but when I was finished I realized they look like Disney's Minnie Mouse.

*First off I painted all the tips of the nails red. Just like you're doing a french tip but with red instead of white.

*The ringers fingers I painted all red.
-Some nails might need to be cleaned up a bit when doing the tips. To make the tips a bit more even that can usually be done by a cotton/ear swab dipped in polish remover.
-I can usually do my tips without anything, but the nails were really long and I wanted to try a new trick. I used the notebook hole repair stickers.

*Then once all the red dried I placed white dots on all the red tips and the fully red nails.
-For the dots I used a doting tool.

*Finish with top coat and you're done! :)
